What we
believe....
We believe
the Bible is the inspired
Word of God, and is given to us to use as a guide
throughout life and circumstances. 2 Timothy 3: 16
We believe
that God created the heavens
and the earth, and that man is created in the image of God,
but sin separated the entire human race from a relationship
with God. Genesis 1:1, 3: 1-24
We believe
that Jesus is the Son of God,
was born of a virgin, lived on this earth in human form,
and voluntarily sacrificed His life on the cross to pay the
penalty for our sins, in order that we might re-establish a
relationship with God.
We believe
that Christ died for our
sins, that He was buried and that He was raised on the
third day according to the scriptures, and that He ascended
into heaven where He sits at the right hand of God, as our
great High Priest and Intercessor.
Romans 12:2, I Corinthians 5:3-3, Hebrews 7:25
We believe
the gospel to be the Good
News of Salvation through faith in Christ alone. There is
no other name under heaven given to man by which he can be
saved.
Acts 4:12, Romans 10:9-10, Ephesians 2: 8-95
We believe
in the indwelling Holy
Spirit, sent by God to help man and to intercede on our
behalf. Acts 1:5
We believe
Jesus will return to this
earth, first to gather all believers into heaven, then as
judge of all mankind, the unrighteous to everlasting
torment, the righteous to everlasting life in heaven.
I Thessalonians 4:16-18
We believe
in a believer's baptism, as
an outward sign of an inward change. In following Christ's
example, Grace Fellowship will baptize by immersion, but
will accept all who have been baptized as believers.
Matthew 3: 13-17, Mark 1: 9-11, Luke 3: 21-22, John 1:
31-34
We believe
that communion, known as the
bread and cup are symbolic elements of the blood and body
of Christ. Communion will be observed as a way of
celebrating Christ, and as remembering what He did for us.
Matthew 26:26-30, Mark 14: 22-26, Luke 22: 14-20, 1
Corinthians 11: 22-26
At Grace Fellowship, we believe
that offerings are between
yourself and God (2 Cor. 8:7), and for this reason do not
pass collection plates. Collection boxes are placed on the
wall of the Sanctuary near the entrances for your tithes
and offerings.
We believe
that God gifts all believers
to serve Him and to love others. We desire to help people
understand their gift and to release them to do what God is
calling them to do.
