Summer 2008 VBS plans get underway with a pie
in the face!
Vote for Your
Favorite Mad Scientist!
The scientist
with the most points gets a * in the face!
(for those of you non-science people like me, that symbol
means PIE!)
Here is how
it works:
The amount of silver coins and paper
bills count as positive points. All copper coins count as
negative points.
The mad scientist with the most points gets a
pie in their face!
The scientist with the least amount of points gets to be
the * thrower!
So, for example, if you want to see Kipp
get a * in the face at the VBS Fundraiser Lunch on
June 8th, you will want to put all of your silver coins in
his “beeker”. If you feel sorry for Kipp and you don’t want
him to get a * in the face, then you will want to make sure
there are a lot more pennies in his “beeker” to offset the
other money.
Watch for the Mad
Scientist table to be set up on May 18th! Thanks for
your support!
All of the money raised will
help to buy Bibles for the children that come to VBS. Our
goal is to make sure every child has a Bible at home. We
want them to know that God’s Word isn’t just for adults!
It’s the Perfect formula!

Pie baking class to help fund VBS!
Save the Dates!
June 7th- A pie baking class taught by Gladys and/or Amie
Carr. Have you ever wished you could make a
strawberry pie that tasted delicious and looked as good as
in the magazines? Join us on Saturday, June 7th to
find out how. Everyone is welcome! This will be
my third time taking the class! Already an expert?
Join us for fun and fellowship plus you get
to make a pie for yourself and for a great
cause! PLAN on joining us! Watch for more
details and the sign up sheet.
June 8th- Vacation Bible School Fundraiser Lunch after
church. We will again have the annual silent pie
auction. An added twist of excitement this year will
be finding out who Grace has chosen for the Mad Scientist
of the Year and watching them get a PIE in the face!
All proceeds from this fun event, will go toward VBS
expenses and age appropriate Bibles for the children in our
community! You won't want to miss this!
Handwork can warm fellow Christians!
Calling All Knitters, or
Knitter Wannabes
God has given me an idea, but I need
help! Since our church is sending money regularly to
Kovrov, why don't we make gifts for them that Bill can
distribute when he goes? Obviously, we won't make it
by this year, but if we start now, we can be ready for next
year! My idea is to knit neck scarves for all the
ladies. I don't know if that is something men would
appreciate or not. It is not hard to do, and I am
willing to teach anyone who is interested, no age or gender
restricted! (I've already had a couple apt
pupils!) If you are interested, see Gladys to get
started!

Bill is off to Russia!
As you know, Bill Walden will have taken off for Russia by
the time you read this. Please keep Bill and the mission
team in your prayers. In the meantime, Bill has informed us
of a blog spot with information on his team and trip. You
may logon to: http://vladimir08.blogspot.com
for what hopefully will be timely information.
Mission to our Military personnel is
appreciated!
The following is a real letter from a
real serviceman to Kathy Armstrong, spearhead of
the Military Missions at Grace.
Kathy,
First off I’d just like to say Thank you so very much! The
package that you sent had soo many goodies and stuff I
needed that its
amazing! I cant believe that you got me all those candies
either, it put a smile on my face all day today and for
once was in a good mood!
I don’t get mail at all and the one time I do its just so
jam packed full of stuff that I need that its just so
wonderful. And some of
that stuff I cant believe you knew I needed…like that nasal
congestion stuff…I've ALWAYS had a hard time breathing with
my asthma and allergies that when I saw that stuff it was
like , “how did she know!?” haha
Well I would just like to go ahead and thank everyone that
was involved with this, the Grace Fellowship Church, and of
course you Kathy for making it all happen. It really does
get depressing out on deployment and to receive such a
wonderful gift can really lift a person's mind and
spirit…thank you for lifting mine.
Yours truly,
ENFN Mike Kingen, UNITED STATES NAVY=
Exciting Changes in store for Delores!
Dear family and friends,
Greetings! I am in El Paso as I write. I’m in the last week
of final preparations for my upcoming wedding on May 17.
There have been so many decisions and work with planning a
long-distant wedding, moving an hour from my home of 8
years, and starting to turn a bachelor pad into a newlywed
home in the last 4 months. It has been fun and exciting
time for me seeing one of the deepest desires of my heart
being fulfilled.
Since January I have held an Ancient Path seminar in my
home, stepped down from my leadership position with our
local YWAM base in Richmond and continued assisting Bob
Lichty on updating the ‘An Intercessor’s Guide to the
Jewish World’. Also, Robert has attended one of the Ancient
Path seminars. It is our desire to work/minister together
as a couple with these seminars. And along with Bob and
Vicki opened our home in Charles City for ministry to one
of my friends who is trying to overcome her addictive
behavior with alcohol and cigarettes and receive ministry
from us. And visiting family and friends in the hospital.
Prayer Requests:
1.) Final preparations for the wedding and honeymoon.
2.) Traveling mercies for my friends who will be traveling
in from Virginia and Arkansas.
3.) Health and healing for my mom and dad, Robert’s dad and
his grandmother. Our wish is for all to attend.
(Note: his grandparents are in their 90s and they are
traveling by car with his aunt to the wedding.)
4.) My friend who is continuing to get ministry for her
addictions.
5.) The updated version of ‘An Intercessor’s Guide to the
Jewish World’
6.) For Robert and I as we join together to know God’s
purposes and plan for us as a couple.
Thank you for your prayers and support!
Blessings,
Delores Krug…. Soon to be Sutherland
